This healthy alternative to ice cream is a cinch to make. You can keep frozen portions in your freezer and prepare them on demand.

Ingredients

  • 120g of fruit of your choice

You can choose most fruits, but mango and strawberries make particularly good sorbet. You can use tinned fruit but drain off the syrup/juice.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Start by washing your fruit, and then cut into chunks and remove any pips, skin, seeds, etc.

Step 2

Pop them into a tupperware and freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours.

Step 3

Remove frozen fruit from the freezer and put it in a blender. Blitz until the mixture turns into a smooth paste. The fruit will start melting a bit but this gives it a great texture.

Serving Instructions

Serve immediately.

You can try topping with bits of mint, or even chopped pistachio nuts.
